Who we are

Biała Róża Foundation is an independent foundation dedicated to obtaining, transferring and opening up knowledge to a wider audience in order to contribute to mutual understanding between groups and communities. The name of the foundation is bilingual, Dutch and Polish. This emphasizes the foundation's special interest in the Benelux and Eastern Europe.

Our vision

The Biała Róża Foundation is committed to increasing mutual understanding between groups and communities in order to contribute to tolerance within and outside the Netherlands. The foundation takes its name from "Weiße Rose," a German resistance group during World War II. The group called for nonviolent resistance against the Nazi regime.

Our mission

Through its research, publications, productions and meetings, the Biała Róża Foundation aims to make visible the human being in society and history in all its facets, nuances, diversities and contradictions. The foundation focuses on conducting independent research, writing and publishing scientific, journalistic and literary texts, and developing documentary and artistic productions.
